What has God shown you over this past week? That He always listens to your prayers and answers them; just got to trust in His perfect timing and be patient.
Favourite Season? Spring :)
One thing you want to know about me? Hmm... From the list of hobbies written in your description, which do you enjoy the most and why?
A weird fact about yourself? Uh, I don't really like to wear nail varnish or jewellery. Only a set of earrings and a watch!
Hey Charlotte! Lovely to meet you! I know what you mean about nail varnish! I don’t like it either! -_- haha
List of hobbies, I would say Music, because not only do I love listening to it, I love making it, especially when it is in expression to God in worship! it incorporates my guitar, drums and singing into one, so I would say that! God is my passion, Music is my favourite way of showing that! :)
What has God shown you over this past week? Faithfulness; in fresh ways!
Favourite Season? Spring!
One thing you want to know about me? One goal for this year.
A weird fact about yourself?
Goal for this year? To write another worship song, but also put chords to it, finish a composition and record it on my acoustic :)
You had no weird fact? Care to add one? Nice to meet you Tali!! <3
There is nothing more important than to learn to love yourselves for who you are. For all of your ‘flaws’ are not flaws at all. ‘Ugliness’ is merely when you are believed to be lacking in beauty, and no one, yes, NO ONE, is lacking in beauty for we were all created in the image of God!
This word ugliness is a ‘creation’ that has adapted from the devil and the expansion of sin across our world, another one of his crafty tricks to make us all believe we are not beautiful, or worth anything - even in God’s eyes. That we are not desired, But I call all of you now to know, YOU are loved, YOU are chosen and yes, YOU are desired by the Lord our God in heaven!
His face looks down on us with such happiness and love, and he delivers new waves of mercy to us every day… We are beautiful people, beautiful creations and all of us are fearfully and wonderfully made!
The world may tell you that you are ugly, that you’re too fat, too thin, too broad, too short, too tall, to curvy, too narrow or too wide, not muscular enough or not pretty enough but do not listen to these lies!
You my dear friend are perfect, both inside and out. The views of the world should not impact our hearts as they should delight in the Lord, not delight in pleasing the worldly views…
Love because he first loved us - not just in an emotional or spiritual way, but also, in the physical way, as he first loved the way we are, we too shall love our selves. Casting out the demons of self loathing and hatred, and detest of our bodies, and we should learn to love our bodies, after all they are gifts and temples.
If you love your body, as it is the temple of God, just imagine, if this is what our physical bodies look like - imagine how inticate and beautiful our spiritual bodies are…
Yes, for it says in the bible, Man looks at the outward appearance, but God looks on the heart. You are beautiful both inside and out, the way you are, the way you conduct yourself should show the love and beauty of God - therefore, making you beautiful too!
Beauty does not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair, the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes, Instead it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit that is of GREAT WORTH in God’s sight… 1 Peter 3: 3-4
When contemplating whether that person is THE person, there are a few things which I have found useful to do…
PRAY! Seriously, it seems like the blatant obvious answer, but it really is such a big key to finding out where you stand with this person, For who knows your future better than the one who created it and set you apart?
TALK it through with some one you trust and who knows God, it’s all well and good talking to your non Christian friends about it, but the truth is, they just wont understand the difference between a Christian relationship and a worldly one. So it’s best to seek guidance from some one who knows what you’re talking about
TRUST God. Again, sounds simply obvious, but when you have God at the centre things just become so much easier! God is the only one who knows what is going to happen and so it is always best to leave it up to him and trust his decision, even if it means it is not what you initially wanted: it’ll work out in the end to be for the best!
I have had to learn these lessons the hard way, and right now, I am putting these things in practice - at the moment, I am waiting on the Lord!
Who would you rather have command the direction of your life? The Lord? Or your own decisions?
My bestie and I, as well as an old friend of ours, are dressing up as princesses, watching the royal wedding on the T.V. AND playing the drinking game to go along with it, however it WILL be non-alcoholic ofcourse! Milk and coke forever! :D
I am so looking forward to it, Expect pictures at some point, yes? :)
Love you all, and enjoy your royal wedding day, what ever you’re doing!
So I was chatting to God along New Walk, which is like a pedestrian walk way through the city which is just trees, plants, lovely old fashioned low hanging lamposts and benches with the odd patch of grass or connection to a park
As I was walking I was hit by the holy spirit, which basically, whipped me into a frenzy where I continued to Run and skip up and down the entire walk way while other pedestrians looked on shocked as I was laughing hysterically too!
It was awesome to feel so free and in public, God really tore down that barrier I had that used to prevent me from expressing the spirit in me in public..
I found a patch of grass and I fell down, rolling around in the grass laughing still for a good half an hour while confused people looked on.
It was so liberating getting to run around like that not caring what people thought of me because I was just playing with my father in heaven and talking to him - having a good laugh!!
I urge you to let God break down your barriers, sometimes we hide behind them so that it is easier! but by breaking them down, the amount of freedom you feel is incredible!
Tomorrow Tomorrow, I love ya, tomorrow! It's only a day away!
My bestest bestest friend in this ENTIRE world (apart from Jesus) is coming over tomorrow for a sleep over AND we shall be having major work cramming sessions, worship sessions too! praying, studying both the bible and college work and then hopefully go swimming, arriving home to a lovely carbohydrate meal like we do!
I love her so much, THANK YOU LORD for the best friend I could ever imagine!! <3
Why do some many people now a days insist on wearing less and less every day?
What ever happened to dignity, self respect and being modest. When I walk into College I see, more often than not, girls clad in unsuitable clothing that covers just about the vital parts of the human anatomy and providing nothing but a window of opportunity for the boys around them to stare willingly at all parts of their body!
Okay, Call me uptight, old fashioned or prude, but the body is to be sanctified for marriage - The bible says so, and even if you don’t believe the truth, it’s just common sense to remain dignified and proper… who wants to see others walking around with bits hanging out everywhere, we get enough of that from the media
The exposure of the body in the media is so much more than it has ever been and it’s sad to know that todays generation are growing up by thinking that ‘less is more’ when it comes to clothing but visa versa when it comes to plasticity.
So please, protect yourself, and others from lustful thinking, and cover up.. I’m not suggesting giant woolly long necked jumpers and long bottoms to hide EVERY INCH, just, be sensible and don’t fling around anything you wouldn’t want your grandparents to see, respect yourselves…
You are so interesting! How long have you been playing drums?
Hey! I am? Thanks! :D
I’ve been playing about a year now, same as the guitar really! It’s so much fun. But the kit I have is a 32 year old pearl maxwin kit which is very wholey at the moment and so I try not to practice too much otherwise I may not have much kit left! haha God bless you!
