This Girl is 18 tomorrow…

But when she was born she was very ill. She was born with the cord wrapped tightly around her neck, strangling her till she turned blue and couldn’t breathe. Thankfully, the doctors acted quickly to pull her lifeless body out and resuscitate it.
When she was just a couple of months, she feel incredibly ill and the doctors really had no hope for her on surviving, and when her heart stopped they were at a loss, and thought she was a goner. No one knew what would happen, but all expecting that this little girl would not be able to be brought back from the brink of death.
God, however, was not about to let one of his children to go. To the surprise of everyone, she came back, making a full recovery even when they thought there was no way of resuscitating or saving her. God however, knew just how to do this; saving her in more than just one way.
Her life was changed immensely from this day forward. There was a high chance of her suffering from a mental or physical disability due to the fact her brain was starved of oxygen when her body started to die, but nothing significant seems to have been effected, by the grace of God! She has a slight neurological problem, which may have been due to this early trauma however it’s not been proven as is only a minor bother.
Other than that and a few more hiccups along the way, she is a healthy and happy almost 18 year old.
She wouldn’t have made it if it wasn’t for the hands of God that kept her safe and healed her broken body and mind. She wouldn’t have made it if God hadn’t set out more plans for her life; given her a purpose and a reason to be on this earth. A reason to pull through and survive.
She has battled with various illnesses throughout her life, including developing rheumatoid arthritis at the age of 9, which she was healed from at the age of 16 by God’s grace.
Each year, when her birthday comes round, people ask her what is the best thing about the year that has past; and her answer? The fact that God has kept her going, throughout everything that has happened in her life. All the illness and pain as well as the personal battles she’s had to fight, God has been in all of them. There have been many other times where God could have taken her life, but he hasn’t taken those opportunities? Why? Because he has a plan for her. And she is so incredibly greatful for this, especially as she gets conformation everyday because by the grace of God, she is still able to wake up each morning.
He has a plan for me.
He has a plan for all of us.
18 years later than my birth, I still know God has a purpose for my life. Yeah, I may be in pain sometimes, or feel tired or sick, but I would rather feel this than the numbness of not knowing that God has a purpose for my life and he is preparing me for that, every waking moment of my life; just like he has for you.
God bless!
